Last month, we decided kind of late in the afternoon, to drive down to the zoo. For some reason, I always felt the zoo was far away but it only took us thirty minutes to get there. And once we got there, I decided to get the annual pass! Besides the fact that it will pay off after the second visit, I figured it will also give us a new place to go and explore once in a while. You can read about our last trip here.
The month of April will be all about Zoos! Now that we have learned about all the habitats of animals, we can see them in person and review everything we know about them.
A to Zoo Animals
Below is a monthly lesson plan with the activities we will be doing each day. You can find most of these ideas on my Pinterest boards (zoos). And of course, follow us on Instagram to see the activities as we do them. You can download the monthly plan here.
We are also using an activity pack you can find here.
On the monthly calendar, you will see a (P) next to the activities that you can find on the Pinterest board.
These ideas are always supplemented with lots of daily free play. We are constantly using play dough, legos, dolls, and dressing up. These monthly curriculums are to keep us a little more focused on a theme!
